Windgate Vineyards & Winery is located in Smicksburg, Pennsylvania - about an hour's drive from Pittsburgh. A visit to Windgate takes you back in time, as we're also located in the heart of a small Amish community. (More about the Smicksburg area)

We're open year-round, 7-days a week, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Open: Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Closed: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Windgate has a guest house available for single night, weekend, or longer stays.

From Pittsburgh: Take Rte. 28 Expressway North beyond Kittanning. Follow signs for Rte.28 to reach Rte. 85. Turn right on Rte. 85. Continue on Rte 85 for 18 miles to Rte. 954 in Plumville. Turn left on 954 and go about 10 miles to Smicksburg. Continue on Rte 954 2 miles to Hemlock Acres Road. Turn left at the winery sign.

From PA Turnpike: Take Exit 5 (Allegheny Valley) and follow signs to Pittsburgh. Go 1/2 mile to Rte 910. Turn right on 910 and follow Rte 28 Expressway North signs towards Kittanning. Pick up Rte 85. Follow remaining directions (above) for Rte 85.

From 1-80: Take exit 101 onto PA-255 toward Dubois. Turn left on Brady Street (US 219). Go 2.5 miles. Continue on Blinker Parkway for 3 miles. Continue on US 119 for 18.6 miles. Turn right on PA 210. Go 4.8 miles. Continue on PA 954 for 2.9 miles. Turn right on Hemlock Acres Road. The entrance to the winery is 2 miles down on the right.

We have three store locations: Our shop at the Winery (in Smicksburg, PA) our store at the Pittsburgh Mills mall, and our shop at the Indiana Mall. Additionally, you can buy Windgate wines at The Country Cupboard (45 Clarion Street, Smicksburg. PA).
